Story of the church

The church of Saint Anthony was founded in 1542 by the Minor Observers with the title of Saint Mary of the Graces. The portal, maybe in stone from San Lucido, is of the Renaissance period.
The church is aisleless, inside stands out a richly decorated vault, with flowery patterns and allegorical elements containing three frescoes: the visit to Elisabeth, the crowning of the Virgin and the Annunciation. On the right side there is a chapel of Saint Anthony and in it there are some frescoes about the life of the saint. The frescoes of the sacristy made in the very first years of the XVIII c. by Francesco Saverio Ricci from Terranova, author of many frescoes and paintings scattered all over the diocese, have Franciscan martyrs as their subjects.
