Capuchin Tabernacle

Capuchin Tabernacle

Description

The work, with its temple typology, circle planned and on two floors , belongs to the classical composite scheme of the tabernacles made by Capuchin carvers who can be found in almost all Calabria. The structure, 150 cm. tall, gave the right importance to the place which holds the Eucaresty and , thanks to its majesty could be seen by the congregation . The tabernacle was kept, till the first years of the 90’s of the XXc. in the church of Saint Mary of Costantinople , united to the suppressed order of The Capuchins .
